Thanks, Standing Results, and Semi-Final Games

Thanks to all for attending. After some tie-breakers, we have our semi-finalists.
First and foremost I want to thank all of the teams that have participated in our first Summer Slam in 3 seasons. It is a great feeling to be hosting a tournament at Stan Wadlow Park. The baseball was exciting and it really looked like all of the players were having fun out there, and that is what this is all about.
The competition was fierce and it meant I had to pull out my pencil and do some math to figure a few things out.
Pickering AAA and East York AAA were both 2-1 in round robin play. Based on the tie break rules, we had to revert to tie break rule:
iii. team with the smallest runs against ratio (runs allowed / number of
defensive innings played) in all games;
As a result Pickering AAA finishes first in its pool with a ratio of 1.39 (25 Runs against divided by 18 defensive innings)
East York AAA finishes second in its pool with a ratio of 1.5 (24 Runs against divided by 16 defensive innings)
Secondly we had a tie for 2nd in the other Pool between North Toronto AAA and Scarborough AA. The same tie break rule was applied in this scenario and as a result;
North Toronto AAA finishes 2nd in its pool with a ratio of 1.26 (24 runs against divided by 19 defensive innings)
Scarborough AA finishes 3rd in its pool with a ratio of 2.93 (44 runs against divided by 15 defensive innings.

10am Diamond 2 Leaside AAA vs East York AAA
10am Diamond 3 Pickering AAA vs North Toronto AAA
Please note the snack bar will be open and serving Hot Dogs and Hamburger again tomorrow, and we are happy to serve. The snack bar is cash only and has a variety of other items as well.
