Hello Baseball Fans!
Welcome to the 2018 season of Baseball at East York. Spring is trying to take hold and you know that means that the baseball season will start soon.
As we have done in the past we like to use early May for House League spring training, evaluations, and exhibition games. Spring Training is mandatory for all players, for all divisions. Once spring training is completed then the teams will be formed, and you will find out which team your son or daughter has been placed on. Players must attend evaluations to be plaed on a team. The schedule for this is below and will be posted on the website. The assessments help us, as best as possible, to put each player in the best situation for them to develop and have fun.
Please attend on your designated night for assessments. We will start at 6:30pm, so please plan to arrive around 6:15 pm for organization.
(*For those with at double last name like Smith-Clarke, you are slotted under S or the first letter of the first of your double last name.)
WEATHER! May is full of weather challenges. Cancellations & field condition upates will be posted on the website and twitter. Please bookmark our website and follow us on twitter. We will not always have time to send an email blast. Please remember we will always do our best to play. It may be raining at the beach, and not at the park. When in doubt, come to the park.
VOLUNTEERS! For all those who have volunteered so far, thank you very much! We are however still in need of more coaches and assistant coaches. Please consider volunteering to help out your son or daughter’s team. We also need scorekeepers, drill helpers, and "Bench Monitors". This great organization is built on volunteers, so why not join in the fun!
Save the Date: Opening Day is Saturday May 26th and ALL teams will play.
