Week 2 - Whitby
2021-07-21 - 11U EY Bulldogs BLACKAs the season continues, the EY 11U Black Team continues their development as they head out to Whitby for a game.
What a weekend. The sun was shining as our Bulldogs hit the field at Cachet Park in Brooklin, Ontario. Whitby was kind enough to host us when our original game for the weekend had to be rescheduled. The boys hit the ground with energy. A first inning bat-around is always a great way to start and Micah's debut at pitcher was a 3-up, 3-down masterpiece. The bulldogs continued on a role with another 5 run inning and shut out inning from Holden on the mound.
But, no lead is safe, Whitby battled back from a 12-0 game to make it close. Some big hits and some some shaky defense and the ulldogs really hade to bare down to hold on. In the end, they managed to hold off Whitby for a 14-11 victory and their 2nd win of the season. Thanks to Whitby for a great game.
