This organization runs on volunteers, and a couple of hours a week can make a huge difference for our kids.
Please consider one of the following Volunteer positions:
- Head Coach (1 per team needed) - Organizes the batting line ups, field positions and instructs the players throughout the game.
- Assistant Coach (3 per team needed) - Helps to prepare the players for their turn at bat, assists with drills and also assists with on-field guidance.
- Scorekeeper (1 per team needed in 8U and older) - Keeps the score for both teams and submits the scores at the end of the games.
- Team Manager (1 per team needed) - Communicate essential team information, keep players in line on the bench, assist the coaches as needed, assist with uniform and picture distribution.
- Sponsor - Sponsorships are given to a team to display their company name/logo.
*Please note that by volunteering for the Coaching and Manager positions you are allowing EYBA to run a Police Background Check.
For 2025, we hope to once again run our engaging baseball skill development practices for all levels 15U and under. The special focus will be on our 11U division and pitching skills. We will do our best to provide those new to baseball as well as those who have been around for a few years with the proper instruction in an organized and fun atmosphere. This will help the quality level of baseball played at East York for years to come. More information will be provided when available.
Our community and association thrives because parents, no matter what their background, are willing to step up and offer help. You do not need to be an expert to roll a ball, throw a ball in the air, hand out uniforms, or provide a team snack. Coaches and team volunteers will be asked to help support these events in order for us to maximize player development.
